Prayer Point for Friday, August 3, 2007
Fact: The recent footbath controversy at the University Michigan Dearborn Campus, a story that first appeared the spring of 2007 which highlighted the school’s decision to build Muslim foot-washing stations with public funds, has now hit national news outlets including US News, Fox News, The New York Sun and The LA Times.
Pray: Pray that this national media coverage will alert Christians nationwide to the events of Dearborn Michigan. Pray for an awakening among Christians to the active promotion of Islam in public universities and the potentially long-lasting implications of this situation upon all American Universities. Pray especially that Christians will be drawn to inspired prayer, compassionate love and effective action – not to anger – “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,” as James instructs in James 1:19-20.
