IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED!!

TWO WEEKS LEFT TO CONTACT GOVERNOR!
SB 54 & SB 572 STILL AWAITING ACTION

Orange County Board of Education Attacked for Opposing Harvey Milk Bill!

HAVE YOU CONTACTED GOV. SCHWARZENEGGER?

TWO WEEKS!!

That’s all we have left to contact Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and ask that he VETO SB 54 and SB 572!!

Liberal Democrats in the State Legislature have already passed SB 572 and SB 54! And these bills have already been sent to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He only has until October 11th to take action…which means we only have until then to stop them! And he could take action even before then.

If there was ever a time that you were needed…that time is now! We can stop both of these anti-family bills but it will require immediate action.

If we fail to act our children in public schools throughout the state will be taught about homosexual politician Harvey Milk and the homosexual lifestyle!

If we fail to act homosexual couples that marry in other states can come to California and have their marriages recognized and valid! Prop 8 will be undermined!

Faithful friends, this is it, this is the last stop and last chance we have. Either the Governor signs these bills into law or he vetoes them.

Homosexual groups and their supporters in the Legislature are stopping at nothing to see these bills signed into law. Their number one bill of the year is the “Harvey Milk Day” bill. And they are being heavy-handed in getting it to the Governor’s desk.

Please remember, they are using every resource available to pressure the Governor to sign SB 572. You may recall that San Francisco homosexual Assemblyman Tom Ammiano blurted out that liberal actor Sean Penn (who won an Academy Award for playing Harvey Milk in the movie “Milk”) has already made personal calls to Schwarzenegger demanding he sign the Harvey Milk bill into law.  Even “Milk” movie film writer and homosexual Dustin Lance Black, who testified in favor of SB 572, has personally lobbied Schwarzenegger demanding he sign the bill. You can bet that these same people are also pushing him to sign SB 54 as well! It’s part of their agenda and package.

Orange County Board of Education Needs Our Help & Support!

Orange County Board of Education

Homosexual activists are also spewing the very same “hate” they claim to be against and maliciously and falsely accuse us of.

TVC received word that the Orange County Board of Education is being pounded by homosexual activists with angry, vitriolic, hateful emails and even calling OC Board of Education staff to simply yell at them and hang up.

Under the direction of Dr. Alexandria Coronado, a friend of TVC’s and president of the Board, the full Board voted unanimously to oppose SB 572 on September 17th. They adopted their formal opposition and sent their letter in to the Governor asking that he veto the bill. Click here to see their official letter of opposition to SB 572.

Ever since local media printed their stories about the Board’s action, they have been under attack. You can read the Daily Pilot article by clicking here. You can also see the many hateful comments posted by pro-homosexual activists.

Dr. Coronado and her colleagues on the Board of Education need to know that there are others who do support their actions. We cannot let the views from radical, rude and hateful homosexual activists go unchecked.

ACTION NEEDED TO STOP SB 54 & SB 572

Here is what we need you to do in the next couple days to STOP SB 54 & SB 572:

1.     Forward this email alert to those in your contact list. It is the content of this email explaining what these two bills would do and the crucial action listed that must be spread to others to call them to action!

2.     Contact Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger immediately and ask him to VETO SB 54 and SB 572!

3.     Contact the Orange County Board of Education and thank them for doing the right thing by formally opposing Senate Bill 572, the Harvey Milk Day Bill. Click here to go to the Board of Education’s website.

4.     Click here to download and distribute the Action Alert for SB 572 & SB 54.

CONTACT GOV. ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER TODAY!!

Ask him to VETO SB 54 & SB 572

REMEMBER, THE GOVERNOR CAN TAKE ACTION ANYTIME!!

ENOURAGE HIM TO BE CONSISTENT!
HE VETOED HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE BILLS IN THE PAST!
HE VETOED THE HARVEY MILK DAY BILL IN 2008!!
ASK HIM NOT TO CAVE IN TO THE PRESSURE!

Write To:
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger
State Capitol, First Floor
Sacramento, CA. 95814

***Letters are still the most effective way to influence the Governor. Write a letter, even a short one, and send it in immediately. You can send the Governor an electronic message reflecting the thoughts in your letter, too.

WHAT SB 54 & SB 572 WOULD DO IF SIGNED:

SENATE BILL 572:  “HARVEY MILK DAY”

THE “HARVEY MILK DAY” BILL WOULD DO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Forces every Governor to issue a proclamation declaring each May 22nd as “Harvey Milk Day”

2. Schools will be strongly “encouraged” to conduct “exercises” that celebrate and glorify the life and lifestyle of Harvey Milk.

3. Harvey Milk Day will result in schools telling students about homosexuality.

For every school that chooses to conduct “commemorative exercises” about Harvey Milk, they will be required by law to portray Milk’s homosexual lifestyle in a positive, “non-discriminatory” light. Given recently enacted Education provisions, SB 572 will result in every student in the state being given positive instruction about homosexuality and be taught about homosexual leaders in the homosexual movement in a positive manner. It is spelled out in black and white in the law.

4. Harvey Milk Day in schools will result in students discussing homosexuality and questioning sexual norms.

5. SB 572 overlooks the contributions of more well-deserving Californians, like Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, John Wayne, Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood, Joe DiMaggio, George Lucas, Mark Spitz, Hiram Johnson, John Fremont, Walt Disney and more that warrant a day of “special significance,” long before Harvey Milk.

SENATE BILL 54:
Undermines Prop 8 / Recognizes all Homosexual Marriages Performed Outside California

SENATE BILL 54 WOULD DO ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Force California to recognize any homosexual marriage performed outside of California that was performed before Proposition 8 was passed by voters on November 5, 2008.

2. Stretch the limits of the CA Supreme Court ruling and increase the number of homosexual marriages.

On May 26, 2009 the California Supreme Court ruled that Proposition 8 was a valid amendment to the state constitution to define marriage for one man and one woman. But they also ruled that those 18,000 homosexual marriages that were performed in California before November 5, 2008, the day in which voters passed Prop 8, shall be valid and intact. The court only allowed for only the 18,000 marriages here in California to be valid, none from other states. SB 54 would undo this ruling.

3. Give homosexual couples that are married outside of California legal footing to challenge in court Proposition 8’s validity and possibly have it overturned.
