Heart To Heart Audio Appeal for California

California Canopy of Prayer

This is an invitation to the Body of Christ to work together to raise a Canopy of Prayer to cover our entire state of California, anchored in each of the 25,000 political precincts by October 2010.  You can do the same in your state.

CRISIS

California is in crisis on every front:  moral, social, financial, generational.  If things do not turn around we are heading down a path of spiritual and natural devastation.

One of the greatest challenges is a mindset inside the church, a worldview of hopelessness, that causes Christians to not be engaged with society/politics etc. or to only engage in a reactionary way without a long term vision nor strategy and without hope beyond "slowing the inevitable tide."

OPPORTUNITY

This crisis is an opportunity!  We have already proven there are enough Christians in California to not only turn things around but to lead the state.

RESPONSE

Let's work together to mobilize Christians to prayer, to practice prayer evangelism, and to get involved in the political process based upon their values, with a pro-active long term vision.

God created California and He has a dream for California.  If we work together He can use us to help make California all it was created to be!

GOALS OF THE CANOPY OF PRAYER

1.    Cover the entire state by Oct. 2010 by having at least one person who has "adopted their street " in each of the approximately 25,000 political precincts.

2.    Build bridges so that the Body of Christ is working together across ethnic, social-economic, and denominational differences.

3.    Change the spiritual climate over the state and decisively influence the 2010 elections.

4.    Build a coalition and launch a movement that will work together to completely transform California politically, economically and socially in 15-20 years leading to the elimination of systemic poverty and corruption.

GET INVOLVED

1.    Adopt your street and start praying -- Don't underestimate the power of prayer!

2.    Go to www.transformourworld.org /California to register your street adoption, plot your dot on the Canopy of Prayer map,  and see all the others who have joined the Canopy.
