Urgent Call to Prayer: Signs of the Times - CONVERGENCE
by TheCall, 21 September 2009

It is critical that the church in America understands the times and what needs to be done now. The natural things speak of the invisible. Natural happenings on the earth are revealing something that is going on in the spiritual realm. There is a great spiritual conflict with a rising tide of Islamic boldness being manifested. Several happenings are converging this week. First of all, our President has recently proclaimed, honored, encouraged the Muslim holy days of prayer and fasting called...

To: The Black Church in America - the Road to . . .
by The CALL, 30 October 2008

Below is a letter we received from Lou Engle as an exhortation and call to the Black Church in America.  It is well worth reading.  This follows a rising alarm and concern we have had over the past week in prayer that the wounds of the nation are manifesting in this election and causing a presumption to prematurely push an agenda forward before adequate healing has occurred.  Presumption will push an issue before it's God's time and can lead to further destruction...

A Global Call to Repentance
by Capitol Hill Prayer Partners, 28 September 2008

This year, Rosh Hashanah will be observed on Tuesday, Sept. 29th and Yom Kippur will be observed on Thursday, October 9th. It was believed that sins repented of during this time changed the destiny of the nation for the coming year and there was an open window in heaven to restore destiny during these 10 days. It was customary to blow 100 shofars (trumpets) during daily calling the people to prayer. The sound of the shofar is intedned to awaken the listener from his or her...

I also found his confession deeply affirming. I have been endeavoring to teach, write, model and call pastors and leaders and fellow believers to do simple church by focusing on the basics.
